Ridge preservation, also known as alveolar socket grafting, involves grafting an extraction socket immediately following tooth removal to prevent ridge collapse, which can result in aesthetic or functional complications. While many associate ridge preservation solely with crestal approaches, this course expands your perspective on the variety of techniques available to preserve ridge form and optimize outcomes.

Dr. Julia L. Jackson, a Philadelphia native, earned her DMD from Temple University in 2005 and completed two years as an Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery Fellow in Brooklyn Hospital Center and completed her Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery four year residency at Howard University Hospital in 2011.
With years of specialized training and clinical experience, she brings a practical perspective on complex surgical procedures, patient safety, and practice growth. This focused session gives dental professionals an opportunity to learn from her clinical experience in the field.
