Dr. Khalil Shehadeh, CEO and Founder of Khals CPR, brings a wealth of diverse medical experience to the International Implant Institute. A graduate of medical school in Jordan in 2010, Dr. Shehadeh chose an unconventional path by serving as a physician onboard Royal Caribbean and Celebrity cruise lines. This unique role allowed him to combine his passion for saving lives with his love of travel, providing medical care to people from all walks of life across the globe.

In 2012, Dr. Shehadeh established a weight loss center in Alexandria, VA, where he focused on combating obesity and its associated chronic diseases. His innovative approach to health and wellness transformed many lives, helping patients manage conditions like diabetes, hypertension, heart disease, and stroke through diet and exercise. His dedication to improving health outcomes led some patients to eliminate their need for medications entirely.

Despite his success, Dr. Shehadeh missed the clinical aspects of medicine and decided to pursue a clinical residency in 2017. After closing his weight loss practice, he completed the necessary USMLE exams and applied for residency. However, as a foreign medical graduate with an eight-year gap in his education, his chances were slim. Even two years of unpaid research at Johns Hopkins did not secure him a residency position.

Undeterred, Dr. Shehadeh channeled his passion for saving lives into teaching. In January 2020, he founded Khals CPR, an organization dedicated to training others in life-saving techniques. Under his leadership, Khals CPR has grown to include 12 offices from New York to Richmond, VA, and trains thousands of learners annually. Dr. Shehadeh’s commitment to excellence and education ensures that his impact on the medical community continues to expand.
