
Dr. Furkan Dogan, is a highly accomplished and board-certified oral and maxillofacial surgeon and dentist anesthesiologist. She holds dental licenses and general anesthesia permits in Washington, D.C., Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Dr. Dogan is a Diplomate of both the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery and the American Dental Board of Anesthesiology, and She is a Fellow of the American Association of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeons.
Dr. Dogan earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) from Tufts University in Boston, MA, and her Bachelor of Dental Surgery (BDS) from the University of Marmara in Istanbul, Turkey. Dr. Dogan completed her residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Howard University Hospital in Washington, D.C., and her residency in Dental Anesthesiology at NYU Langone Hospitals in Brooklyn, NY. Dr. Dogan’s extensive training has equipped her with expertise in dental anesthesia, implantology, and facial aesthetics.
Currently, Dr. Dogan serves as a Clinical Associate Professor at Howard University College of Dentistry, where she is dedicated to teaching and mentoring the next generation of oral surgeons. She also holds hospital privileges at INOVA Fairfax Hospital and Howard University Hospital. Dr. Dogan’s professional experience includes private practice and academic roles, with a special focus on advanced surgical techniques and patient care.

Her research interests include the mechanisms of injury in orbital floor fractures and the effects of anesthetic gases.
